Spring a Dog for Spring Break! As you may or may not know, THE SHELTER IS FULL OF DOGS and we'd love to see some of our shelter dogs in a foster home for a week or two during Spring Break. Give a shelter dog a break from shelter life. Plus, this would be a great time to get started fostering and see if it is something you can commit to doing more often. Email Courtney.Washington@mctx.org if you can help.

Such a lovely idea. Giving a shelter dog even a short break from that environment can make a real difference, and it also helps people see how rewarding fostering can be. I have always felt that dogs bring out the softer and more patient side of people. Even a quiet walk, a nap nearby, or the first moment of trust can change the mood of an entire week. Programs like this make fostering feel much more approachable. It even pairs well with support from services like Dutch for pet medicine and veterinary clinics, because good care and a temporary home can both help a dog thrive.
